Funeral services for Thomas Carroll Dye, 54, will be conducted by the Elks at 2 p.m. tomorrow in Bradley and Woolman mortuary. He was a grandson of the second white man with a family to settle in San Diego county and a member of a prominent Ramona family. Dye died Monday at his home 309 W. Lewis street, after a long illness. He was born in Ramona and passed the early part of his life in this county. Twenty years ago he took up farming at Modesto, but returned to San Diego last August when his health failed. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Frances Lee Dye; his mother, Mrs. Mary Dye, and a son, Thomas C. Dye, Jr., all of San Diego. He was one of 13 children, five of whom survived: Bruce Dye, Ramona; Mrs. Minnie Etchegray, Los Angeles, Stanley H. Dye, Fresno; Mrs. Alice Donley and Herbert Dye, San Diego.
