Birmingham News, Birmingham, Alabama,Tuesday, October 19, 1993: Hill, Roscoe Voyt, age 99, of Homewood died Tuesday, October 19, 1993. He was a deacon at First Baptist Church of Birmingham and former member of Calvary Baptist Church. He also was active in local, state, and national education associations. Mr. Hill was one of eight children born in Effa, Ark., graduate of Ouachita Baptist College in Arkadelphia, Ark., in 1927 received a Masters degree from George Peabody College in Nashville, was principal of Martin Elementary in Birmingham from 1927 until his retirement. Funeral service will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. from the Ridout's Valley Chapel Homewood with burial at 3 p.m. in the Lynnwood Cemetery in Lynnville, TN Ridout's Valley Chapel in charge of local arrangements. Survivors: three brothers, R. Douglass Hill, Ft. Smith, Ark.; George J. Hill, Branch, Ark.; Henson J. Hill, Ft. Worth, TX. Visitations will be Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
