Funeral services for Irene Apple, little 5-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Apple of Dallas, were held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in the chapel of the Massie Funeral Home here. Rev. Anton J. Van Puffelin, assisted by Dr. Clifford S. Weaver, conducted the services. Interment followed in Pecan Grove Cemetery with Jack Griffin of Fort Worth, Theo Gallagher, Warren Sisk and Tom Landers, all of Dallas, acting as pallbearers. Ill for the past three months, Irene passed way at 7:45 a.m. Sunday at the Baylor Hospital in Dallas. She was a member of the Christian Church. Irene was born Oct. 6, 1940, in Dallas, the daughter of Cecil Apple and Bernice Apple, who survive. One sister, Mrs. Lonnie sears of Dallas; the grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. R. Gallagher of Dallas and Mrs. Sam Apple; five uncles, George, Fred and Edd Apple, all of McKinney, Walter B. Apple now overseas, and Theo Gallagher and two aunts, Mrs. Warren Sisk of Dallas and Mrs. Fred Dickerson of McKinney.
