The body of Robert Don Kirkpatrick, 21, Lincoln, Mich., killed in a hunting accident near his home Wednesday, is expected to arrive in Alto Pass tomorrow morning. A native of Alto Pass, Kirkpatrick moved to Lincoln this fall several months after his discharge from the Navy after four years service. The 2nd class yeoman's last tour of duty was China. The exact circumstances surrounding the fatal shooting of Kirkpatrick were not available today. It was believed he was killed by an accidental discharge of a companion's weapon while hunting deer near Lincoln. At the time of his death, Kirkpatrick was employed with the Capital Roofing and Insulating Co., of Lansing, Mich. The young bachelor leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kirkpatrick, Alto Pass, and three sisters and one brother. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Parker Funeral Home at Alto Pass.
