Williams, 45-year-old former resident of Chandler, died unexpectedly in a local hospital Wednesday after a short illness. he was born May 31, 1901, in Missouri, and came to Arizona with his family when a young boy. His father, Delmar Williams, owned and operated one of the first grocery stores in Chandler. Mr. Williams was meat department manager of one of the chain stores here in the valley before moving to San Francisco several years ago. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Beulah Standage Williams; a daughter, Charlene Williams; his mother, Mrs. Essie Anna Williams and a brother, Donald Lee. Services will be Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Meldrum Mortuary Chapel, Bishop Fred Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Mesa Cemetery.
