Graveside rites for Candice Ann Kirkpatrick will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Thursday at Thurmond cemetery with the Rev. James P. Burke officiating. The body will lie in state at Myers Chapel where friends may call after 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. At 8:30 p.m. Wednesday the Rosary will be recited at Myers Chapel. Candice Ann, the ten year old daughter of Chief Warrant Officer W. R. "Bill" and Mary (Powers) Kirkpatrick, died Sept. 29, in Frankfort, Germany, where her father is stationed with the U. S. Armed Forces. The family formerly lived in Mt. Vernon. The child was born Jan. 16, 1953, in Ft. Sill, Oklahoma. Besides her parents, she is survived by two brothers, Buddy and Kevin, both at home; a grandmother, Mrs. Mae Mitchell; and a great-grandmother, Mrs. Elsie Taylor, both of Mt. Vernon.
