Southern Illinoisan, Carbondale, Illinois, Monday, Dec. 14, 1953, Page 12, Col. 4: Flora Jones Dies. Services for Christopher Woman To Be Tuesday. Mrs. Flora M. Jones, 77, of 507 S. Emma St., Christopher, died at her home Saturday. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Church of God, of which she was a member . The Rev. Leonard Newton will officiate. Burial will be in Mulkeytown Cemetery. Mrs. Jones leaves five children, Bert Kirkpatrick of Oakland, Calif., Paul Kirkpatrick of Hayward, Calif., Mrs. R. C. Lake of Bages, Wyo., Fred Jones of Rollins, Wyo., and Mrs. Elmer Withrow of Christopher; seven brothers and sisters, John Neal of Ft. Wayne, Ind., Rollie Neal of De Quoin, Allen Neal of Mulkeytown, Mrs. Effie Harrison, Mrs. Mattie Flowers and Harvey Simpkins all of Christopher, and Mrs. Clarence Eubanks of Coello; 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her husband, Kindick, died in 1933. Friends may call at the home of Mrs. Withrow, 403 S. Solomon St., Christopher. The Union Funeral Home is in charge.
