Evening Star, Washington, D. C., Monday, January 26, 1981, Page 37, Col. 2: Ruby Y. Dorr, 84, Active Area Baptist. Ruby Young Dorr, 84, a native of Barry, Ill., and former 53-year resident of Mount Rainer, died Friday at her home in Petersburg, Va. She moved to Petersburg five years ago. She was active in the First Baptist Church of Mount Rainier, Md., for almost 50 years, as a Sunday school teacher, Women's Missionary Union leader and a soloist. She leaves 3 sons, Barlett P., of Petersburg, David C. of Maryville, Tenn., and Robert W. of Baltimore, a brother Theron Young of New Port Richey, Fla.; 15 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow in Nalley's Funeral Home in Mount Rainier, with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family suggests that expression of sympathy be in the form of contributions to mission causes of the Southern Baptist Convention, in care of First Baptist Church of Mount Rainer or the Seventh Baptist Church in Baltimore.
