Posted at findagrave.com: Roy Allen "Pete" Kirkpatrick, 512, of Jacksonville, Ark., died Thursday around noon in Little Rock. He was born in Wetumka on May 28, 1924, and resided at 1509 Dogwood in Jacksonville. Funeral services will be at 3:30 Saturday in the Barnard Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Russell Owen officiating. Burial will be in Holdenville Cemetery. Kirkpatrick was married to Ruth Stevenson, daughter of Alfred and the late Mrs. Ruth Stevenson, Holdenville, on May 26, 1946. He grew up in Holdenville. He was a retired Air Force Colonel, having retired two years ago, and had seen approximately 30 years of service, including action in World War Ii. He was a graduate of Holdenville High School and the University of Oklahoma. Kirkpatrick is survived by his wife, Ruth Stevenson Kirkpatrick, of the home; by one son, Lt. Mike Kirkpatrick, U.S.M.C., Tulsa; by three daughters, Peggy Winters, and Pattie Kirkpatrick, Dayton, Ohio, and Susie Glass, Dallas; and by four grandchildren. Other survivors include his mother, Mrs. George Seward, Holdenville; one sister, Mrs. Georgia Crane, Holdenville, and uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Inman Allen, Holdenville.
