Sunday, June 20, 2010: Taylor, Francis Eleanor Good of Dallas, TX, passed away June 16, 2010, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson's disease and related complications. Born July 23, 1935, in Houston, TX, to Wayne Edgar Good and Etta Mae Verschoyle Good who preceded her in death. They were both of pioneer Dallas families. She is survived by her son, Scott Taylor and wife, Molly, of Dallas and son, James Taylor, of Los Angeles; her grandchildren, Thomas Taylor, Hudson Taylor, and Joshua Taylor, all of Dallas. She is also survived by her sister, Charletta Greene and husband, Daniel Greene; nephew, John Greene, and niece Jennie Gorman; and numerous cousins. She graduated in three years with a bachelor's degree in Home Economics and Education from Texas State College for Women. She was a member of the Dallas branch and the National Organization of the Home Economists in Homemaking (HEIH). She was an accomplished microwave cooking instructor and taught in numerous cooking schools all over the Dallas area and she enjoyed sewing for her family. She was also a school teacher for a number of years and taught preschool through the eighth grade. She was involved in her community and was a member of Casa View Christian Church, Lake Highland's Women's League, and Lake Highland's Civic League. She was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and the Cedar Creek Lake Women's Club. She had a zest for life and enjoyed many activities including tennis, scuba diving, camping, and square dancing. El loved her Lord and her family. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Sunday, June 20, 2010, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Restland. The service will be Monday, June 21, 2010, 12:30 p.m. at Restland Memorial Chapel with Pastor John Arellano officiating. Interment will be at Grove Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dallas Area Parkinsonism Society, 6370 LBJ Freeway, Suite 176, Dallas, TX, 75240-6400.
