Daily American Republic, Poplar Bluff, Missouri,December 11, 1972, Page 21, Col. 4: Greenville---Lavelle John "Jack" Tidwell, 57 -year-old resident of Clubb, died Saturday in the Doctors Hospital at Poplar Bluff. He had been suffering from a heart condition. Gish-Bowles-Coder Funeral Chapel will hold services at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. L. A. Davis will officiate. Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery. A retired St. Louis dock worker, Mr. Tidwell was born Jan. 14, 1915 at Salt Lake City, Utah. He was married March 8, 1946, to the former Idell Bennett. Survivors include his wife, a son, Jacke Lee Tidwell, E. St. Louis, Ill.; a daughter, Mrs. Linda Jane Gall, West Plains, two brothers, Leroy and Charles Tidwell, both of Kansas City; two sisters, Norma, Kansas City; Mrs. Leona Caldwell, St. Louis; and Mrs. Anna Lee Mellinson, Calif., and a grandchild. Visitation began at 4:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
