Lewis Charles Campbell

The Gazette, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Saturday, August 12, 1989: Lewis C. "Lew" Campbell, 51, of Colorado Springs died Thursday at a local hospital. He worked in security with the S.A.I.C. Co. Mr. Campbell served in the Air Force for 21 years and retired with the rank of technical sergeant. Services will be at 11 a.m. today at Swan-Law Funeral Home, 501 N. Cascade Ave., with a military chaplain officiating. Burial will be at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, Maxwell, Neb. Mr. Campbell was born July 11, 1938, in Brule, Neb., to Earl and Martha Louise (Weist) Campbell. He had lived in Colorado Springs 22 years. Mr. Campbell graduated from North Platte (Neb.) High School, Pikes Peak Community College and the University of Southern Colorado. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 426 and the Colorado Springs Exchange Club. He was married in North Platte to Barbara Wilson, who survives. Mr. Campbell also is survived by a son, Jeffery of Colorado Springs; a daughter, Cyndy Fevig of Colorado Springs; two brothers, Dennis of North Platte and Richard of Omaha, Neb.; and three sisters, Lois Berland of Castle Rock and Marie Dugan and Margaret Jensen, both of North Platte.
