Maxine Asta Olshausen

MacPherson, Maxine Asta Passed away on June 20, 2002 at the age of 95. Born May 29, 1907, in Ithaca, New York. She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Gordon Robert MacPherson, at age 90. They were longtime residents of Sebastopol, retiring there in 1980. Maxine and Gordon loved to travel, and spent years spanning the globe. Maxine is survived by her brother, Detlev Olshausen of San Mateo, children Rod and Lisa MacPherson of San Francisco, John and Francie MacPherson of Chula Vista and Elan Gay of Mendocino; grandchildren Tennee Gay Anderson and Surya Anderson of Mendocino, Dakota Murray of Mendocino and great grandchild Beyulah Ananda Anderson of Mendocino. Maxine graduated with a Masters Degree in French Literature from UC Berkeley. Maxine was an avid lover of life, touching the hearts of many with her wonderful sense of humor and generous heart, which remained undimmed by Alzheimers disease in her last years.
