The daughter of Dan and Jennie (Holtman) Kile, she was born Oct. 13, 1896, in El Dorado Springs. She was a member of the Rich Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include three sons, Clarence Bear, Euless, Texas, Ralph Bear, Shawnee, Kan., and Marvin Bear, Reno, Nev.; four daughters, Edith Morrison Grimes, Brunswick, Blanche Lewis Johnson, Overland Park, Kan., Beulah Gill, Rich Hill, and Dorothy Clarkson of Independence; 15 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Services were held Jan. 1 at the Sheldon-Booth Chapel with the Rev. Paul Grimes officiating and the Rev. Lyle Chappell assisting. Music was provided by the Bethany Mennonite Choir and Angell Lee Palmer, organist. Pallbearers were Phil Morrison, Leon Gill, Randy Bear, Steve Bear, David Bedwell and Bob Vermillion. Honorary bearers were Mark Bear, Scott Morrison, David Bedwell Jr., Stephen Craig, Jim Black and Rae Black. The family suggests memorials to the Rich Hill Baptist Church building fund.
