Kirkpatrick, 69, of Rt 2, Mulkeytown, died 10:05 a.m. Thursday in Herrin Hospital. Mr. Kirkpatrick was born March 14, 1900, in Christopher. He was a member of the Mulkeytown Baptist Church and the United Mine Workers of America, local 9018. He leaves his wife, Annabell; sons Elmer and Ranson [Ransom], both of Chicago; daughter, Mrs. Genevieve Samples of Mulkeytown; brother, Herbert of Zeigler; half-brother, Lester Flowers of Chicago; sister, Mrs. Geneva Bullock of Chicago; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A son, Howard preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in Vantrease Funeral Home, Zeigler. The Rev. Loren Ramsey of Mulkeytown, will officiate. Burial in Mulkeytown Cemetery. Friends may call after 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
