Charleston---Charles Edward Lankford, 73, 413 South Main Street, Charleston, died Sunday, October 25 at 6:20 p.m. of a heart attack. He was born September 22, 1891 in Farmington, Mo. Mr. Lankford, a retired farmer, had been a resident of Charleston for the past 53 years, where he was a member of the Methodist church.

He is survived by his wife, Edith Mae Lankford, one son, Arvel E. of San Francisco, Calif.; one daughter, Mrs. P. J. Ponder of Charleston, one brother and two sisters and four grandchildren. The body is at the Nunnelee Funeral Home in Charleston. Services will be at the Methodist Church in Charleston at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. J. W. House assisted by Robert Burke, pastor of the Bertrand Methodist Church will preside. Interment will follow in the Armer Cemetery in Bertrand with the Nunnelee Funeral Home in charge.
