Born Jan. 4, 1936, in Richland County, Wis., son of Charles and Elsie (Clason) Daughenbaugh. Graduated from West Lima High School. Married Anita Crusan on July 5, 1958, in Rockford. Employed by Sundstrand, retiring in 1981. Member of UAW Retirees Local 592 and Allied Senior Citizens. Avid Chicago Cubs fan. He loved fishing, hunting, motorcycling and dining out with friends. Survivors include wife, Anita; sons, Rick Jr. of Virginia, Dale and Loren (Nicole Burdick) Daughenbaugh, both of Rockford; one granddaughter; two grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents; one daughter; two brothers; and one sister. Service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, in Delehanty Funeral Home Ltd., 401 River Lane, Loves Park, with visitation from 10 a.m. to time of service; the Rev. Bobby Sheets will officiate.
