John Henning Linden

Posted at findagrave.com: United States Army Officer [Rank of Col.] He graduated from West Point in 1945 and served in Europe at the end of World War II. He served 23 years in the Army, primarily in Artillery units, and also served on the staffs of the Army Chief of Staff and the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He was a graduate of the United States Army Command and General Staff College, the British Army Staff College and the United States Army War College. His awards and decorations included the Legion of Merit. After retiring from the Army in 1968, Linden worked for 30 years at PRC Inc., a data management and information systems integration company. He also authored 1997's Surrender of the Dachau Concentration Camp, 29 April 45: The True Account. This book relied on primary sources to bolster the claims of John Linden's father to be the Army officer who received the surrender of the Dachau concentration camp.
