Humboldt Standard, Eureka, California, July 21, 1954: John Erwin Williamson, 79, died suddenly at his home in Alderpoint Wednesday morning. He was born in Minnesota and had lived in Alderpoint for the past 28 years. He was a member of the George A. Thompson Post No. 544, American Legion, at Alderpoint, the Veterans of Foreign Wars post at Eureka, Spanish-American War Veteran of Eureka and the Disabled War Veterans of Eureka. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Anna A. Williamson of Alderpoint; two brothers, Ray Williamson of Aberdeen, South Dakota; Win C. Williamson of Alderpoint; a sister, Mrs. Daisy Richmond of Alderpoint. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Hunter & Wise mortuary in Fortuna.
