Dayton Daily News, Dayton, Ohio, Wednesday, June 13, 1956, Page 38, Col. 2: Abner B. Johnson, 82, formerly of 63 Fountain av., died at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday at a local hospital. He was born at Moore's Creek, Ky., and had resided in Dayton 40 years. He had taught school in Kentucky 10 years and had been employed by the Railway Express Co., 12 years, and the Bureau of Internal Revenue 14 years. He retired ten years ago. He was a member of Memorial Baptist church.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. George W. Tischer of Birmingham, Mich., and Mrs. Arthur Eaton of Dayton; two sons, Jack A. of Dayton and Skidmore of Miami Beach, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Flora Estridge, and three brothers, Bradley, George and Hector, all of Moore's Creek, Ky., and nine grandchildren.

Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Whitmer Brothers funeral home, 239 N. Ludlow st. Cremation will follow. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday.
