Amarillo Globe-News, Amarillo, Texas, May 4, 2012: BOVINA - David "Dean" Wines, 70, of Bovina died Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church of Bovina with the Rev. Brian Mullins officiating. Burial will be in Bovina Cemetery. Arrangements are by Blackwell-Mullins Funeral Home of Friona. Mr. Wines was born Dec. 26, 1941, in El Reno, Okla., to David Wesley and Opal Iona Blalock Wines. He retired from Cargill Meat Solutions in 2003. Survivors include two daughters, Sharla Cruz of Bovina and Stephanie Marshall of Clovis, N.M.; and five grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to American Cancer Society, 3915 S. Bell St., Amarillo, TX 79109.
