Virgil Emmitt Hash

Lexington Herald, Lexington, Kentucky, Saturday, February 26, 1977, Page 18, Col. 3: Virgil Emmett Hash, 52, of 1411 Greendale Road, retired security guard t the Veterans Administration Hospital, died at 5:20 a.m. Friday at the Veterans Administration Hospital after a short illness. He was a native of Midway, Ky., and a son of the late Emmett and Corna Ross Hash. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in WWII and was a member of the Disabled American War Veterans. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jean Moore Hash; two sons, Marcus S. Hash, Frankfort, and Wayne R. Hash, Versailles; one step-son, Kinney Hounshell, Lexington; one brother, Chester E. Hash, Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. Clifford Wardle, Lexington, and Mrs. Otto Terry, Midway; four grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home by Rev. Marshall J. Leggett. Burial in Lexington Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. today and from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday.
