La Harpe Quill, La Harpe, Illinois, Tuesday, February 5, 1901, Front Page, Col. 4: Mrs. Eliza J. Biggs died at the home of her son, Stephen A. Biggs, in this city, last evening, Monday, Feb. 4, 1901, at 7 o'clock. The lady was quite well known to our older citizens and especially to those of the west and north country. She was the relict of Wm. M. Biggs and had reached the advanced age of 79 years and 1 month when death called her. She was an old and respected citizen. the funeral services will be held at the M. P. church, tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 10 o'clock a.m., Rev. Fox officiating. The burial will occur in the Terre Haute cemetery. Friends invited.
