Seattle Daily Times, Seattle, Washington, February 15, 1954, Page 5: Body Found Under Leaves Is Identified. A body found last night about two miles south of Richmond Beach, today was identified as that of Gardner Sprowl, 43, Army Engineers accountant, who has been missing since June 25. The cause of death had not been determined. County Detective Adam Lyskoski and deputies of Coroner John P. Brill, Jr., said identification was made by Sproul's wife through a ring on one of the man's hands and his eye glasses. The body was found by Charles Schaul, 16, Richmond Beach, partly buried under leaves on a bank beside the great Northern Railway's tracks, which skirt Puget Sound. Sprowl's car was found at Richmond Beach a few days after he disappeared. He lived at 2746 E. 90th St.
