Telegraph Herald, Dubuque, Iowa, February 25, 2001, Page: A21: Livingston, Wis. - Jane I. Dobson, 83, of Livingston, died Friday, Feb. 23, 2001, at Memorial Hospital of Iowa County, Dodgeville. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church, Livingston, with the Rev. Barb Cook officiating. Burial will be in Rock Church Cemetery, rural Livingston. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Bendorf Funeral Home, Platteville. Friends also may call after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. She was born on Aug. 5, 1917, in Iowa County, daughter of Paul and Etta (VanNatta) Knebel. She married David Dobson on Jan. 30, 1937, in Galena, Ill.; he died Jan. 1, 1979. She graduated from Rewey High School. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Livingston. She liked to read and crochet and especially loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are two children, Jeri (Roger) Durni, of Livingston, and Clifford (Joyce) Dobson, of Mifflin; five grandchildren, David (Jean) Durni, of Alma Center, Debra (Dan) Dunbar, of Platteville, Daniel (Karen) Durni, of Mifflin, Mark (Jennifer) Dobson, of Cobb, and Marcy (Patrick) Nee, of Blue Mounds; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Alberta Warne and Shirley Holman, both of Livingston; and a brother-in-law, Melvin Litchfield, of Madison. She also was preceded in death by her parents; a great-grandson, Samuel Nee; a brother, Clifford; a sister, Mary Litchfield; and two brothers-in-law, Clinton Warne and Robert Holman.
