Alma Times Tribune, Alma, Nebraska, October 2, 1958, Page 1: Funeral Services were Monday for Lawrence Clason. Funeral services for Lawrence Clason were conducted Monday afternoon from the First Christian church in Beaver City. Reverend R. V. Umphenour assisted by Mr. Leonard Wilfong officiated at the last rites. Lawrence Leonard Clason, oldest child of Frank and Maggie Clason was born near Atwood, Kansas, July 8, 1907 and passed away September 26, 1958 at the Alma Hospital in Alma at the age of 51 years, 2 months and 18 days.

Lawrence, with his parents, moved to Furnas county, when he was 11 month old, where he has lived until his death. Lawrence suffered a severe heart attack August the first and another, four weeks later. He passed away suddenly on the evening of September 26th.

He was thoughtful and devoted to his parents, brother, sisters and friends. Even in his suffering during the past seven weeks his first thought was for others. Lawrence was baptized the 18th day of November, 1936. He leaves to mourn his passing his parents, one brother, Francis Clason of San Luis Obispo, California, two sisters, Mrs. Irene Davis of Beaver City and Mrs. Margaret Perkins of San Jose, California; three nephews, Eugene and Merle Clason of Beaver city and Frankie Wentling of Lincoln, and two nieces, Rose Ann Perkins of San Jose, California and Darlene Hawkinson of Orleans.

Mrs. Russell Leonard and Mrs. Robert Theobald, accompanied by Mrs. Llye Mayo supplied the music for the service. Hymns sang were "Under His Wing," and "Beyond the Sunset." Interment was made in the Maple Creek Cemetery. Casket bearers were Oris Cozad, Don Woodruff, Leland Richards, Lawrence Lambert, Harley Lambert and Lawrence Bowyer. Hopping Haase Funeral Home of Beaver City was in charge of the arrangements.
