Isaac Ferris Clason son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry M. Clason was born March 12, 1865 in Minnesota and departed this life at Phillipsburg, Kansas Saturday Oct. 20, at the age of 69 years, 7 mos. & 8 days. In 1875 he came with his parents in a covered wagon to Precept, Neb. where he spent most hos boyhood days. He went to Oklahoma in 1900, where he lived for a number of years. Here he united in marriage to Lillie Franklin in 1905. He was partially paralyzed in 1915 and his condition grew steadily worse, until his death. He leaves to mourn his departure, five bothers Jay of Calvert; Dwight E. of Cedar Rapids, Ne. [Ia]; Lewis E. of Long Island, Ne.; Rufus A. of Grenville, New Mexico and Jesse A. of Hot Springs, South Dakota. Also one adopted sister Mrs. Jennie Fischer of Oklahoma City, Okla. and a host of other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers Harry A., Horace G. and Cassius L. He was converted and united with the Dunkard Church when he was about 20 years old and remained faithful the rest of his life. He was a willing worker and was always ready to help those in distress. He was loved by every one who knew him and we know he was ready to answer his Maker. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Claude Schuerman of Precept and interment was made there in Maple Creek Cemetery, beside his departed brothers.

When Caddo Co. Okla. opened for claims he and his brother entered the drawing. Isaac drew land 1 mile south of Bridgeport. They went out and built a 2 room house. The brothers argued and Isaac was left there alone. He married but it did not last long. He sold the property to his parents, separated from his wife and then lived with his brothers until he went to the County Hospital where he was bedfast for years.
