Oelwein Daily Register, Oelwein, Iowa, Sept. 6, 2011: Postville----Leo Burdette Hammond died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011 at Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Postville. The Rev. Steve Brackett will officiate. Burial will follow in the Postville Cemetery, Postville. Visitation will be held at from 5 to 8 p.m. today, Tuesday, Sept. 6, at the Schutte - Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Postville and one hour before the services on Wednesday at the funeral home. He was born Dec. 11, 1922, the son of Than and Alice Bernita (Hozier) Hammond of Edgewood. He married Betty Renzman. They were later divorced.
