Rockton Ave., died at 3 a.m. Monday, May 21, 1979, at Wesley Willows Heath Care Center after a long illness. Born July 15, 1890, in Iowa city, Iowa. Daughter of Charles and Minnie MaGowan. Lived 11 years in Rockford, coming from River Forest, Ill. Married to Carl W. Kirkpatrick, who preceded her in death. Employed as a secretary at the YWCA in Waterloo, Iowa, prior to retiring. Member of Court Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Vincent (Mary Ann) Smith, Dayton, Ohio, a sister, Florence MaGowan, of Rockford, a sister-in-law, Mrs. Donald MaGowan, Elgin; and three grandchildren. Private memorial service to be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, friends may contribute to the Good Samaritan Fund at Wesley Willows Retirement Home. Arrangements by Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Home, 3910 N. Rockton Ave.
