Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, Friday, June 27, 2008: Vastalee Wines, 82, passed away on June 10, 2008. She was born in Mayfield, Okla. and was predeceased by her husband, John A. Wines, a daughter, and granddaughter. Survivors include her son, John Andrew Wines, Jr.; two daughters, Dianna Lynn Boatman and Donna Lee Randall; brother, Stan Perkins; two sisters, LuDean Motes and Polly Austin; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter. Memorial services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 28 at Buffalo Cemetery in Sayre, Okla. In lieu of flower, the family requests memorials to be sent to the Shriner's Hospital of North America, P.O. Box 31356, Tampa, Fla. 33631.
