She was born on March 15, 1923 in Waterloo; the daughter of Charles and Zella Tull Funk. Marie graduated for Waterloo West High School. Marie married Leo Budke; he preceded her in death on September 12, 1994.
Marie was a housewife and devoted mother; she worked at Black's Department Store; and later she and her husband owned Diamond Paint Store. She was also a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol (Michael) Hofstadter of Cedar Falls, IA and Patricia Snyder of Rochester, MN; a son, Jerry Budke of Waterloo, IA; 6 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, a brother, Carl Funk and a nephew, Steve Funk.
Services: Private family services will be held.
