Temple Huston McNatt

Unknown Texas Newspaper: Temple McNatt, Former Resident, Dies In Dallas. Temple R. McNatt former Bowie resident died in the Harris hospital in Fort Worth on Nov. 22, of a heart attack. Funeral services were held at the Burgess Memorial Chapel in Bowie at 11 a.m. Nov. 24 with Dr. D. I. Payne conducting the service. Mr. McNatt was born Oct. 16, 1880 near Queen's Peak in Montague the son of John S. P. McNatt, early settler of the County. He was a retired employee of the rock Island Railroad and worked in Bowie until he was transferred to Fort Worth in 1948 where he retired several years ago. Survivors are his wife, Martha of Fort Worth; two sons Clark McNatt of Bowie, Glenn McNatt of Austin; three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, one step-son, Bill Hipp of Forth Worth and one sister of Oklahoma. Mr. McNatt was a Baptist and was a member of the First Baptist Church when he lived in Bowie. Interment was in Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Burgess Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Barrie Coffield, W. H. Bruce, Fred Raborn Jr., Vernon Briggs, Ray Hines, and JoAlan Spears.
