Obituary from the Grant County Genealogical Society: Marel G. Finney, 84, Platteville, died Wednesday morning, Dec. 18, 1985, at the Southwest Health Center Nursing home of Cuba City. The daughter of Theodore and Emma Robinson Deppe, was born Sept. 26, 1901 in Marshall. She was a member of the Westview Methodist Church of Platteville and a former member of the Miriam Chapter No. 15 of the Eastern Star. Preceding her in death were her husband, Faye, in 1968, a sister, Ruth McArthur, and a brother Maurice Deppe. Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. in the Bonin Funeral Home of Platteville, with Mr. Robert Bennett officiating. Burial was held in the Greenwood Cemetery, Platteville.
