Daily Mountain Eagle, Jasper, Alabama, Wednesday, July 10, 2013: Johnnie Ray Kirkpatrick, 87, of Gardendale passed away on July 8, 2013. He was a faithful servant of the Lord as well as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was born in Parrish on Jan. 4, 1926. Johnnie served in the U.S. Army during WW II. He worked at White Dairy for 35 years then had a second career at BMC Princeton. He was a member of Decatur Highway Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roscoe and Bettie Kirkpatrick; and by his brother, Mack Kirkpatrick. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Ruby Herron Kirkpatrick; his sons, Mike (Linda) Kirkpatrick and Max (Susan) Kirkpatrick; his grandchildren, Todd (Ashley) Kirkpatrick and Emily Kirkpatrick; and his great-grandsons, Eli and Ethan Kirkpatrick. Services will be Thursday July 11, 2013, at 11 a.m. at Crestview Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time on Thursday. Burial will be at Walker Memory Gardens.
