Fort Myers News-Press, Fort Myers, Florida, January 17, 1986: Lyle S. Shepard. 74, of Cape Coral passed way Wednesday, January 15, 1986 at Lee Memorial Hospital. Mr. Shepard moved to Cape Coral 15 years ago from Madison, Wis. He was a member of the Wisconsin Club, Loyal Order of the Moose #2199 and the AARP all of Cape Coral. Mr. Shepard is survived by his wife, Anna Shepard of Cape Coral; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Beverly) Hanson of Cape Coral; one brother LaVern Shepard of Madison, Wis.; a grandson, Mark Hanson of California, Md. and one granddaughter, Heidi Hanson of Fort Myers. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time from 6-7 p.m., Saturday evening January 18th, with services at 7:00 p.m., with Rev. Richard Hafter Officiating. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to either the American Cancer Society, or the Christ Lutheran Church of Cape Coral. The Metz Funeral Home of Cape Coral is in charge of arrangements.
