Survivors include his wife, Bernadine; two daughters, Tamara Willimack of Oxford Junction and Mindy Chapman of Wheatland; two stepsons, David Hartson of Winter Spring, Fla., and Michael Hartson of Iowa City; two stepdaughters, Susan Cox of Clinton and Sharon Vandenbergh of Forreston, Ill.; his mother, Cecile of Lost Nation; two sisters, Phyllis Burns of Cedar Rapids and Lois Sanderson of Maquoketa; and two brothers, Gary of Bloomington, Minn., and Lary of Maquoketa.
