Joe Stubbins, 66, of Benton, died Wednesday afternoon in Franklin Hospital in Benton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Brayfield Funeral Home in Sesser, with the Rev. Carl Berner officiating. Burial will be in Horse Prairie cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Brayfield Funeral Home in Sesser, where friends may call after 6:00 p.m. Friday.
Mr. Stubbins was born February 26, 1901, in Franklin county the son of William and Sarah (Cockrum) Stubbins. Survivors include one son, Joe Stubbins, Jr. of Thailand; one daughter, Mrs. Sarah Luebke of Glen Allen, Alaska; one brother, John Stubbins of Edinburg, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
