Stanley Arthur Stowe, 54, died July 17 at his home in El Dorado. Mr. Stowe was born May 9, 1945 in Placerville. He was a good-natured heavy equipment operator who worked for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District for 27 years. His hobbies included flying, sky diving, skeet shooting, guns, road treasure hunting with metal detectors, saving old theater memorabilia and gold panning. He was a good mechanic, and loved people, trains and playing the drums for the country-western group the Countrymen. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Claudia Marie Stowe, sons Robert Beard, Randall Stowe, John Decena and Andrew Stowe; daughters Alisha Decena and Miranda Stowe, brothers James N. Stowe, Thomas M. Stowe and Timothy L. Stowe; sister Sharon Lemons, and two grandchildren. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Green Valley Mortuary. Services will be a 2 p.m. tomorrow at the mortuary. The Rev. Robert Longford will officiate. Interment will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
