(5 Feb 1884 - 23 Sep 1946)

The Current Local, Van Buren, Missouri, Thursday, September 26, 1946, Front Page, Col. 3: Minerva Catherine Ham was born February 5, 1884 in Illinois, and passed away September 21, 1946 at the age of 62 years, seven months and 34 days. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at a very early age and lived a consistent Christian life until her death. She leaves to mourn her passing a husband, Thomas E. Ham, one son Arthur E. Ham, four sisters Mrs. Thomas Lasbury, Mrs. D. C. Miller, Mrs. Henry Ketcherside and Mrs. Byron Farris; one brother, Chester Young, two grandchildren, Donald and Joan Ham, and a host of relatives and friends. October 28, 1941, she had a cerebral hemorrhage and stroke from which she never fully recovered but at the time of her death her condition was best it had been since her first stroke. Our God, who knows best and doeth all things well, saw fit to call our mother at a time when she was not in pain, and she suffered only a few minutes before she died with a cerebral hemorrhage. During the time she was waiting for her call, she expressed her desire to go to her heavenly home which she knew was waiting for her above. "Dear mother, your race on earth is ran, And your work in Heave begun, May we who still remain below, Stay true till death that we might share, The victory you now know."
