Shankland, 87 years old, died today at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Nellie Steele, 3035 Jackson avenue. He was a Confederate veteran. He leaves also three sons: Claude L. Shankland, Rich Hill, Mo.; P. O. Shankland, Eighty-fifth street and Troost avenue, and Leon Shankland, 44 Florence avenue, Kansas City, Kansas. Funeral services and burial will be tomorrow afternoon in Rich Hill.
