Engagement Announced. An interesting engagement which was announced during the past week is that of Miss Marcette Hobson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ora Hobson, 427 South Kansas Street, Chanute to Paul Bernard Ham, 103 East Fifteenth Street, Pittsburg. The announcement was made at a bridge party for twenty guests which was held Friday night at the home of the bride. The date of the wedding has been set for June 5 [penned change to 6 made]. Both Miss Hobson and Mr. Ham are graduates of the College. Miss Hobson is a member of the Alpha Sigma Alpha. Mr. Ham is a member of the Sigma Tau Gamma, and is a teacher in the high school at Sand Springs, Okla. Appointments for the party were in pink and white, with rosebuds as the flowers used. Miss Mary Thornburg won honors at bridge. The following persons went from Pittsburg to attend the party: Miss Helen Brandenburg, Miss Dorothy Weede, Miss Marjorie Zentz, Miss Avys Rae Taylor, Miss Marjorie Ham, Miss Eleanor Wilson, Miss Mary Clyde Newman.

Ava Grace Anglin
Jenny Kaye and Scott Eric Anglin, of Siloam Springs, Ark., announce the birth of a daughter, Ava Grace, July 30, 2005 at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. She weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces and was 18.5 inches long. Grandparents are AJ and Florence Anglin of Garfield, Ark., and Gerry and Carol Henricks of Richardson, Texas. Great-grandparents are Art and Blanche Henricks of Tahlequah, Okla., and Marcette Hamm of Houston, Texas.
