Obituary from the Ventura County Star Free Post, June 29, 1938, Page 1: Funeral Rites Held for Moorpark Man, 63. Private funeral services were conducted at 10 o'clock this morning from the J. E. Barker funeral home for James M. Freeman, 63 years old, a resident of Moorpark for 24 years. Victor Johnson of the Latter Day Saints officiated. Cremation followed at Ivy Lawn. Mr. Freeman's brother and sister were here from Bell for the service.
