Sept. 18, 1916-Oct. 31, 1999. Leo Bernitz, 83, of San Diego died Sunday. He was born in Massachusetts, and had retired after working as a carpenter. He served in the Navy during World War II. Survivors include his brother, Raymond Bernitz of San Diego. Services will be private. Arrangements: Humphrey Mortuary.
