Margaret Ann Slusher, Dec. 26, 1924 ~ Nov. 11, 2014. Resident of Walnut Creek, Margaret was born to Claude C. and Margaret Lillian (Phelps) Crawford on December 26, 1924, in Berkeley. She attended local schools and in 1940 was married to Jesse T. Slusher. She and Jesse had three sons: Michael Carl, J. Steven, and James Lee. For a time during World War II, she was a "Rosie the Riveter" in Richmond. Margaret was a long-time employee of Kaiser Hospital in Walnut Creek. She enjoyed traveling, reading, needlework, and hosting dinners for family and friends at her home. Margaret was predeceased by her parents, siblings Carl L. Crawford and Marie Seronello, husband Jesse (in 1993) and son James (in 2000). She is survived by her son Michael (Peggie) of Gualala, son J. Steven of Walnut Creek, four grandchildren: Michael (Terresa) of Minnesota, Randall (Diana) of Mississippi, Beverly Caouette (Rick) of Sacramento, and Laney Rweyemamu (Erick) of Saudi Arabia; eight great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
