Service 10 a.m. Wednesday, Burris-Carson-Wall Funeral Home. Survivors: grandchildren, Donald Reinhart of Plesant Hill, Gary Reinhart of Newport News, Va.; five great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. Memorial has been established with First Christian Church.

Unknown Labette County Kansas newspaper. Bessie E. Brisco, 94, a longtime Parsons resident, died at 3:15 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 1994, at the Pleasant Hill Health Care Center, Pleasant Hill, Mo. She was born Aug. 4, 1899 on a farm near Columbus to Perry and Susan Pearson. She grew up there and attended school, graduating from Columbus High School. She then attended Pittsburg State Teachers College and received a teaching certificate. She married Harry L. Brisco, May 2, 1930 at Cherryvale. They moved to Parsons. Mr. Brisco died July 23, 1962. Mrs. Brisco lived in Parsons until January, 1993 when she went to Pleasant Hill, Mo. to live with relatives. She was an active member of the First Christian Church for many years. She taught the third grade Sunday school class for 16 years. Survivors include: two grandsons, Donald Reinhart of Pleasant Hill, Mo., and Gary Reinhart of Newport News, Va.; five great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Three brothers, three sisters, a step daughter and two great grandchildren preceded her in death. The service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Burris-Carson-Wall Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley Land officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to the First Christian Church.
