Cowan, 47, of 1916 Wilson Road, who died Sept. 26 in a Bakersfield hospital. Bishop William H. Davies of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints will officiate. Mrs. Cowan was born in Eufaula, Okla., and had resided in Kern County 24 years. She is survived by the widower, Dale; mother, Essie Right of Lindsay; sons, Ronnie and Roger of Bakersfield; daughters, Janice Peterson and Marilyn Bolt, both of Bakersfield; brothers, John Needham of Tulare, Bill Needham of Corning, J. W. and Jack Needham, both of Bakersfield; and 3 grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Ron Heiser, Larry Heiser, Jerry Vido, Mike DeWitt, Steve DeWitt and Danny Birdwell. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
