She was born June 20, 1887, at New London, to Frank and Lucretia Hankins Portlock. Miss Portlock was a member of the OES of New London, and was founder of the Recordo Club, New London. A dietician, Miss Portlock had worked as head dietician at temple University Hospital, Philadelphia, Baylor University, University of Michigan Hospital, University of Michigan Hospital, and City Hospital, St. Louis. She was in government service at Camp Gordon, Ga. and had managed the Tea Rooms of the LaSalle Kock Co., Toledo, Ohio. Surviving are two nephews, William Griffith, Mt. Pleasant and Leonard F. Griffith, Ambler, Pa. Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday, Beatty Funeral Home, Mt. Pleasant, the Rev. James Edwards; Burge Cemetery, New London. Memorial established to donor's choice.
