Posted at findagrave.com: John Smith was a very early settler in Sangamon County. He married Jane Drennon there 15 February 1827. They had six children: William C., whose wife was Rebecca; Thomas; Rebecca A., wife of William Barbre; Elizabeth Caroline, married to William Poor; Lucy Maria, who married her brother-in-law William Barbre after his first wife, her sister Rebecca, died; and Richard C. All three of their daughters are also buried in this cemetery.
