The Peoria Journal Star, Peoria, Illinois, Tuesday, November 26, 1996: Macomb---Wilma Maxine Smith, 78, of 1601 E. Jackson died at 8 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 1996, at her residence. Born June 19, 1918, in Colchester to Harry L. and Alma Ruth Straub White, she married Hugh Smith on June 25, 1938, in Lancaster, Mo. He survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Janice Scott of Dubuque, Iowa, and three grandchildren. One sister preceded her in death. She was a past member of Colchester Order of Eastern Star. She attended the Methodist Church. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Jones' Mortuary in Colchester. The Rev. Ron Derrig-Green will officiate. Calling hours will be after 10 a.m. today at the mortuary, where visitation will be one hour before services. Cremation will be accorded. Memorials may be made to McDonough District Hospital Hospice Program.
