John Edward O'Brien was the Senior Vice president at the First National Bank at Brownsville, Texas. He was graduated from St. Edward's University in Austin in 1929, after which he went to work as a roustabout in the Texas oil fields. During WWII, he worked for the Reconstruction Finance Corp.
